Location and dates of anamatics

Firstly On December 28th Our group went to the location of a lake near pandy, to take pictures of the surroundings and Mise- en- scene
 December 7th We had a location of the school woods where we had images of the girls getting into the car, setting up a tent and some images of them being in a vunerable postions.
Finally on the 9th December Some of us went back to the first location, to take pictures of a boy by the lake, running through the forest and the background story of the boy being pushed in the lake.

The Final Plot Synopsis

In a small quiet village, there lies a lake, surrounded by a forest which goes by the name of Fisherman's Lake. A few years ago the lake was one of the village's main tourist attractions but all that soon changed after the death of a young boy named Eddie. It all happened back one summer when all the college kids came down to camp for the weekend at Fisherman's Lake.
One night the group of teenagers Eddie was with dared him to swim out into the lake, knowing he was a weak swimmer, Eddie tried to play it cool and swam out into the lake but as his feet left the ground, he couldn’t keep himself up out of the water. The group just watched and laughed at Eddie, thinking he was messing around until they watched him drown. Sarah screamed as she watched Eddie, her close friend struggle and was determined to help Eddie out of the lake but the rest of the group panicked and dragged her away. They promised to each other that they would never mention the event ever again as they all felt so guilty for his death.
   A month later Eddie's body was found in the lake and Eddie's mother was distraught, she did everything she could to try and stop people from visiting Fisherman's Lake and eventually she succeeded. Fisherman's Lake got shut off from the village and no one ever visited the place again.
Now on the anniversary of his death, Fisherman's Lake is reopened.  Sarah wanted to go camping as it was summer and wanted to spend the weekend at the lake with the girls, as they had such good memories there and didn’t want Eddie’s death stop her from going.

 Whilst there, strange events start to happen. Her friends keep on saying they do not feel comfortable and start to panic as they see figures running through trees and hear noises such as humming and rustles In the leaves they tell Sarah they just want to go home but Sarah can’t help but not listen and think her friend are just being stupid so she decides to take a walk to calm herself down. However on her return, she has found that some of the girls have started to go missing, and some of girls still at camp are left distraught as if they have seen uncomfortable events.  As Sarah s tries to discover where some of her friends have gone and what has happened to them she is confronted by an old friend and wants revenge on the friends that left him to die that night in the lake.  

Storyboarding

Our group had a numerous problems with padding out a successful horror story, we had an original story of a 'haunted house' but when we came to taking pictures of the animatic the setting and the characters werent right.
  Then the group had a number of meetings during free periods to discuss what we should do to actually make a horror story successful. We looked at a number of previous horror trailers and came up with an idea of a doll like supernatural item haunting the house and the owner, we got ideas from films such as 'IT' 'Childs Play'. However as the group was writing out the plot we were running out of ideas to make this story work. So third time lucky we again, looked at more horror trailers but looked into to more specific trailers that had that 'reality' effect for example 'Friday the 13th' when a bunch of friends go camping and people start to go missing. 'Nightmare on Elm street' and 'burried'. The story finally started to pad out and we came up with a successful plot which allowed us to make the final storyboard so we could take pictures for the anamatic.

Insidious,this is an example of the genre our group will be following on producing a trailer, its a super natural horror film in a comfort of someones own home. Our group have focused this as a main trailer to give us further ideas. 

Panormal Activity 3, this is another example of a genre of horror and super natural in someones home, we have focused on some of the activity that has gone on in the house, to make more ideas of our own.

The care child, a brief horror story

There once was a child in a care home called Rachel she was the quiet one out of all the people but seemed to know everything about what went on in the house and would just stare at people as if she was reading the persons eyes. She would always wear a bow in her hair and carry her teddy named Tim. She would hardly speak to any of the people in the house not even the workers there just the basic words like ‘yes’ and ‘no’

   Rachel didn’t know why she was in care and where the rest of her family was. She regularly moved from care home to care home because she didn’t get along with the people in the other homes. There would be rumors that every care home she went to people went missing and have not been found.

One day there was an open day for people to foster the children from the home, loads of family’s were there and all the rest of the children were in the garden playing football with other children and adults, Rachel however is the opposite to the other children and sat on the grass with her teddy picking daisies. One of the girls called Michaela killed the ball at Rachel and laughed, Rachel looked up with a scowl and did the action of finger across the throat, Michaela just poked her tongue out and laughed.

A family the Smith family noticed that Rachel was the quiet one out of the children and realised that she wasn’t happy in the home. The mother of the Smith family, Carol went over to Rachel and sat down and started making daisy chains, she tried to make convosation with Rachel and she would just answer with Basic answers ‘Yes’ but she smiled it was if she liked the family. Carol spoke to the head care worker Elaine, and wanted to consider in adopting Rachel. Carol could see the child was troubled and gave Rachel her address for if she wanted anything she could go there, but then the Smith Family went over to Michaela and started paying more attention to her than Rachel. Rachel looked up and scowled and ripped up the daisy chain Carol made her.

That night there was a power cut in the home roughly about mid night when there was a full moon, the power cut went on for about half an hour, all the children were in their rooms asleep and the workers and the older children were down stairs watching TV. Everyone stayed still and there was a sound of a tap a creek of a door, there was a shadow in the candle light, a draw opened and there was a clank of cutlery, everyone in the living room was dead silent like a graveyard, footsteps were heard going back up the stairs, and another door creaking, and then silence again. All downstairs were curious and didn’t think anything of it and carried on as normal. A few minutes later the electric turned back on and all the staff went to the children’s rooms they called all the children and they all came out of their rooms, except for Michaela and Rachel. The head care worker went into Michaela’s room and screamed and came out in floods of tears and all shaken, There was a knife besides Michaela with a pillow covering her pale face with who’s laughing now in her blood. The staff rang the police and quickly went to Rachel’s room to see if she was ok. However she wasn’t there her window was wide open with her teddy on the floor with a piece of paper on the floor besides it. They realised Rachel was going to this address. The police finally came round to the care home and was asking about Rachel and her age, Elaine showed the police officer a picture of Rachel, you could see the police officers expression dropped and rushed off to his car. No one knew what was going on, finally the police officer returned and asked to speak to the head care worker, Elaine.

The police officer told Elaine that Rachel was not a child and was a German women aged 43 called Adolpha Bach who had a growth disorder which made her look on average age of 12. She was wanted for 3 cases of murder and 2 cases of grievous assault and anger issues.

The care workers and the police officers new that they had to get over to the Smiths family house as quickly as they could to catch this criminal before she could do anymore damage to people’s lives.  

There was a knock on the Smith’s house and it was Adolpha, she tilted her neck and gave false smile, Carol smiled back and said ‘come on in Rachel’ as they were walking to the kitchen, Adolpha pulled out the knife and sliced Carols throat. Carol dropped to the floor, and bled to death. Adolpha stood over and watched Carol suffer, she lit a match and the whole house set on fire.

By the time the police officers turned up it was to late the house was up in flames and there was no sign off Adolpha.
